He was born on the 29th February 1976 in Rieti.At six years old he had his first approach to music, learning how to play a classic guitar. At ten years old he discovered the bass guitar and since then he never looked back. Andrea lived in Rieti until 1994 and during those years he started to study the double-bass playing in many bands but most of all, he wrote a of songs. His real passion was the recording process. In 1995 he moved to Rome where he started his first year at the Sain't Louis Music Accademy. Between 1996 and 1998 he continued his studies at the Music University obtaining a diploma and learning from teachers like Massimo Moriconi, Luca Pirozzi, Marco Siniscalco and Gianfranco Gullotto. Meanwhile he followed the conservatory of Perugia and Latina under the teaching of M.Carlo Pelliccione. He then introduced himself in the music world by playing with different bands at many locals in Rome, improving his skills and discovering different style of music like rock, funk, jazz, pop, latin etc…. In the same period, he took part in the orchestra directed by M. Roberto Pregadio touring around Italy between 1997 and 1998. He also participated at a summer edition of a television program called "UNO MATTINA" and then, went on tour to Norway with Nina Pedersen, a well established jazz singer. In 1999 he began his teaching activity at the Music University and other Roman schools. Simultaneously he recorded his first LP with the likes of artists such as Lara Martinelli, RDF, Enrico Montesano and then worked with Andrea Guerra on the movie soundtrack of “The Protagonist“. He collaborated with pop artists, making television promo with Loredana Berte'… After that, he then embarked upon an intense activity between studios and live events, operating with various artists such Patty Pravo, Paola Turci, Nek, Povia, Mauro Di Maggio, Carlotta, Straga', Manuela Villa, mp2, Gatto Panceri, Fabio Concato, Antonella Ruggero, Mikela, Roberto Giglio, Loredana Berte', Simone Cristicchi, Marco Fabi,Pier Cortese, Federico Salvatore and many more. One of the most important experience has been with Max Varini and Valter Sacripanti which saw the birth of a LP, concerts and seminaries all over Italy. |
